The Yandex team announced the launch of several new features in the proprietary mapping service. According to the developers, innovations in Yandex Maps are designed to help drivers choose the best route and better plan trips.
“Yandex Maps” is now able to build a route, excluding unpaved or just bad roads, if this is of course possible. To do this, just activate the option “Avoid bad and dirt roads” in the route parameters.
The service also began to issue warnings about obstacles on the way, such as railroad crossings and ferry crossings, so that the driver can choose a route without them, if possible. When the crossing is approaching, the driver will hear a voice notification, such voice prompts will be made in front of the speed bumps if the speed of the car is above 40 km/h.
