Allu Arjun, our very own Pushpa AKA Pushparaj, made the entire world sit up and take notice of him with his performance in director Sukumar’s directorial. In 2021, Pushpa: The Rise earned over Rs 400 crore globally. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of its second part, Pushpa: The Rule.
On April 7, the makers of Pushpa 2 dropped a stunning poster in which Allu Arjun is dressed as a woman. The striking poster has Allu Arjun wearing a saree with heavy jewellery and a pistol in one hand.
The poster went viral within a few minutes after its release. In fact, it made fans curious as to why Allu Arjun is dressed as a woman in Pushpa 2. Netizens came up with their own theories and we present you three possible scenarios.
SCENARIO 1: PUSHPARAJ AT GANGAMMA JATHRA
Ahead of Allu Arjun’s birthday, the makers of Pushpa 2 released a special video titled, Where is Pushpa? The video won a lot of appreciation as it hyped up Pushpa and compared him to an invincible beast.

More than the video, it was the poster that became the talk of the town. Dressed as a woman (more like a goddess), Allu Arjun is clad in a saree and can be seen wearing heavy jewellery and makeup. He can also be seen holding a pistol in his hand. According to reports, Allu Arjun is dressed as a woman as he could be taking part in Gangamma Talli Jathara, a ritual practiced in Tirupati.
Every year, Gangamma Talli Jathra is celebrated for a week. During the last day, men dress up as women and appear as Gangamma. The deity is a destroyer of evil.
Reports suggest that Sukumar has designed a high-octane action sequence against the backdrop of Gangamma Thalli Jathra.
If this turns out to be true, then this sequence will end up as a goose-bumps moment in the film.
SCENARIO 2: PUSHPARAJ TRIES TO ESCAPE THE COPS BY DRESSING AS A WOMAN
Pushparaja AKA Pushpa is on the run. While everyone is made to believe that Pushpa is dead, he emerges from the forest by scaring the tiger. He can be seen escaping the clutches of police multiple times.
He could be dressed as a woman in order to escape the police. Since men dress up as women during the Gangamma Thalli Jathra, it could lead to a good ploy to escape the cops.
SCENARIO 3: RASHMIKA COULD HAVE BEEN MURDERED
In the special video, Allu Arjun can be seen wearing nail polish on one of his fingers. There were reports on social media stating that Pushpa could be gender fluid. However, it’s a farfetched thought as he has openly expressed his interest in Rashmika’s Srivalli in the film.
Another theory is that Srivalli could be murdered in the second part, because of which he could be dressed up as a woman to take revenge.
While Scenario 1 seems to be the most possible situation, fans are waiting with bated breath to see this particular sequence. Allu Arjun and the entire team is presently shooting for Pushpa: The Rule. According to reports, Pushpa 2 could be released towards the end of 2023 or early 2024.
