Vivo X Fold 3 Pro set to be Vivo’s debut foldable phone in India, releasing on June 6

After launching several smartphones in the budget, mid-range, and premium segments, Vivo is now gearing up to enter a new mobile segment. The company is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone dubbed Vivo X Fold 3 Pro in India, foraying into the foldable space. The foldable device is already available in the global region so its specs aren’t unknown. Some of its highlights include an 8-inch primary display, a flagship Snapdragon chipset, and a battery with 100W fast charging support. Vivo X Fold 3 Pro India launch date, expected price, and availability

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is set to launch on June 6 in India, which is not too far away. The foldable phone’s price range is unknown, however, it debuted in the home market, China, for 9,999 yuan (roughly Rs 1.15 lakh). Having said that, expect it to be pricier in the country. Upon launch, the foldable phone will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the OnePlus Fold.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro design and specifications

Vivo’s official teaser shared on X reveals the design of the foldable smartphone. The device has a large foldable screen on the side and a cover screen on the outside. It has a circular camera island that protrudes, adding to its design. Although Vivo hasn’t revealed the exact specifications of the phone, it’s available in China so we already know its specs sheet.

Starting with the screen, it features an 8.03-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel has HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It has a 6.53-inch secondary screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support.

It is equipped with a Zeiss-branded triple-rear camera system on the back with a 50MP main lens, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. It has a 32MP camera on the primary screen and another 32MP sensor on the cover display. The rear camera is capable of shooting 8K videos, whereas, the two 32MP sensors can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core chipset powers it. It has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device houses a 5,700mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. It runs on Android 14 OS out of the box and has OriginOS in China. However, it should arrive with FuntouchOS 14 in India. (First Published at digitlive.in)
