One of the dealers is ready to bring the latest BMW XM supercrossover to Russia. This is a unique car – the first completely independent development of BMW M GmbH (aka M-Technik) in more than 40 years. XM is a large, heavy, but at the same time dynamic crossover (up to 100 km / h, a car weighing 2785 kg accelerates in 4.3 seconds). And, interestingly, it’s not an electric car at all: in terms of technology, the BMW XM is very reminiscent of domestic Aurus.
Just like the Aurus cars, the BMW XM is a hybrid that also uses a 4.4L V8 biturbo petrol engine. Here, as in Aurus, there is an 8-speed “automatic” and all-wheel drive. The power of the power plant is 653 hp.
BMW XM is a plug-in hybrid. It is equipped with a traction battery with a capacity of 25.7 kWh. In purely electric mode, it can only travel about 80 km (this is the data obtained by the WLTP method, so in reality the “electric range” will be much less).
Since we are talking about a luxury model, the equipment is appropriate: a two-tone leather interior, four-zone climate control, a fully controlled chassis, etc.
Interestingly, the dealer is ready to bring the crossover from China, but it is produced only in the USA. True, if in the USA they ask for it from 159 thousand dollars (about 11 million rubles), then the Russian dealer asks for almost 36.7 million rubles for a car.
Recall that recently in Russia they put up for sale the all-wheel drive BMW i4 M50, which is not much inferior in power to the BMW XM. But it costs 3.5 times less.
