The popular saying of ‘ dog’s tail cannot be straightened’; perhaps is the most applicable tag to great Indian corruption. Whatever steps the administration take, whatsoever methods the inspecting agencies adopt, the corruption does not bend down. The prime reason for this problem is; the very political leaders, who tell great before coming to power, indulge in corruption later & also support corruption of down the level administrators in an open hand.
In any democratic set-up, three fundamental pillars are always most important to have a clean governance. Those are political, judiciary & administrative system. But unfortunately in India these three idols are corrupted enough to only deliver a sick governace. That is why even some good political leaders or judges or administrators intend to wipe out corruption, are not able to do so. This is due to the fact that democracy is all about the system, not about the person.
Few dedicated people in politics, judiciary or in administration cannot bring radical changes, as the entire system of governace is crippled with high-end corruptions. That is the reason, why these dedicated people become eyeshore of the rest of the corrupted people and ultimately fall prey of these intelligent fisherman’s net. Hence a mass movement is required to get rid of this corruption-demon.
Education, awareness & action of the public; are the need of the hour to know the entity of corruption & enact to deal it with iron hand. In many cases public become beneficiary of the corruption in one way or other; which really prevents us to act selflessly to wipe out the corruption. So we have to have a commitment for us & the society- not to become the scapegoat of the corrupted people, who use us to only fulfill their desires, against the well being of us & the society and then only the tail of the dog can be straightened.
