They are using this app to access other’s account.
This is how fraud happened
According to the news of PTI, a person from Thane was facing some problem in TV. He called the TV channel provider to get it fixed. After the call, he got a call from another number. Where he claimed to be a TV channel provider and asked to download AnyDesk app on the phone. Quoting the victim’s complaint, an officer of the Chitalsar police station said that when he downloaded his app, he came to know that Rs 5 lakh had gone missing from his bank account.

The police have registered the case and the police is trying to trace the culprits. Remote access scam is quite common. There is only one way to avoid this. Do not give access to your device to anyone you do not know. Also, do not share bank details and passwords.
