According to “Kommersant” Russian operators have set up deliveries of telecom and IT equipment to the country, offering it for rent with the option to buy it.
MTS has such an offer, which offers servers, data storage systems, computers, phones, software, communication systems based on wireless broadband access (BBA) and other equipment.
Rostelecom confirmed that they offer customers the creation of a turnkey digital and IT infrastructure and receive a fee for the provision of services: “It also has the option of buying out leased equipment.”
Kommersant writes that parallel imports last year helped to solve the problem with the import of corporate-class computing equipment. So far, there are difficulties only with expensive high-performance servers, ”said the source of Kommersant. At the same time, Ilya Khal, CEO of the 3data data center operator, said that there were no problems with the purchase of enterprise-class equipment.
Other market participants are also expected to launch the equipment rental service in the near future, as all telecom operators managed to establish stable supplies.
Rostelecom, VimpelCom, MegaFon and Tele2 declined to comment.
