Researchers have found that boys & men are easily persuaded for love & relationship through e-mail but women & girls are not convinced easily through e-mail, although internet has made negotiations faster & more convenient. Women and girls still tend to prefer social interaction atleast for the first meeting & subsequent negotiations over e-mail. This may be due to the fact that women and girls are more relationship-minded unlike boys & men. But men & boys generally prefer an e-mailbecause it byepasses their probable competitors & they can hide also n-numbers of things what they do not intend to reveal. The study was also conducted asking single-sex pairs of students to discuss the merits of introducing a new examination system both face to face and in an on-line chat room.
The result was phenomenal. Most of the female pairs were more likely to be persuaded when discussing their ideas in person as they were able to form a bond through eye contact, facial expressions, gestures & postures. On contrary the male members responded in largely in the same way to the proposals irrespective of whether put in on-line or face-to-face. But one thing was clear from the study that subsequently women and girls prefer the on-line communication after the very face-to-face encounter.
The study really reveals the psychological angle of girls and women who are emotionally inclined to a serious relationship & love, where as men & boys are not that much inclined as compare to women & girls. This is due to gender stereotyping that presents women as more relationship focussed and men are more task-focussed. So why late girls if you need to romance with your boy-friend, go on-line, but boys, if you need to do so, come face-to-face at least for the first meeting, nevertheless then you can romance on-line with romance unlimited.
