The biggest challenge in this century for mankind is the drastic climate change & global warming. So the toughest task today for human race is to safeguard & save our very planet, where we live in. Yesteryear’s noble peace prize receiver (on behalf of Intergovernmental panel on climate change), Dr. R.K. Pachuri has also recently strongly warned the world community in this regard.
Dr. Pachuri also emphasized the need for nuclear energy sources in order to minimize the effect of global warming. In fact nuclear energy is the best option to curb the deadly carbon emissions. The most horrifying impact of global warming is seen in case of world’s largest island, Greenland, near north-pole, where the ice mountains are melting at a faster rate today. This can very well cause rise in sea level.
By now the scientists & researchers very well know the new age nuclear renaissance and energy-environment correlation. So with the help of nuclear energy we can curb the global warming to a greater extent provided we generate appropriate nuclear technology. Hence researchers should find new avenues by their research work keeping in mind the eco-concerns.
So, the nuclear curbing of global warming is an extremely exciting field for young researchers to work on. In the changing situation in which we are unable to stop the global warming & abrupt climate change, it seems nuclear energy with appropriate technology is a must to counter global warming in a befitting way.
