The country’s leading SUV vehicle manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra (Mahindra & Mahindra) has increased the prices of its recently launched new flagship SUV Scorpio-N (Scorpio-N). Mahindra has hiked the prices of the Scorpio-N SUV by up to Rs 1 lakh depending on the variant within six months of its launch. Mahindra has also joined the list of major carmakers to hike prices this month due to rising input costs and other factors. The Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV, which is the new generation version of the older Scorpio, was launched on June 27 last year at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The prices of almost all variants of the Mahindra Scorpio-N model have increased, starting from Rs 15,000 and going up to over Rs 1 lakh. The biggest hike has been made on the Z8 4WD variant with a 7-seater and manual transmission. This variant, which earlier came at a price of Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom), will now cost Rs 1.01 lakh more and will be priced at Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end variant Z8 L 4WD with 7-seater and automatic transmission has got the least price hike and will be priced at Rs 24.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
The base variant of the Scorpio-N has seen the highest hike in both petrol and diesel. The hike in these variants ranges from Rs 65,000 to Rs 75,000. The top-end variant has seen a lesser hike.
