Ganga Vilas Cruise Ticket Price: Prime minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) is going to flag off the world’s longest river cruise – MV Ganga Vilas Cruise on Friday (January 13, 2022). This cruise (water ship) will cover a distance of 3,200 kilometers from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to Dibrugarh in Assam through the India-Bangladesh protocol route. Also will pass through 27 different river systems with 50 tourist destinations. MV Ganga Vilas Route

River cruise in the name of MV Ganga Vilas departed from Kolkata last month and reached Ramnagar Port in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh for the journey. It will now start its journey from Varanasi, and will reach Dibrugarh in Assam via Bangladesh, covering a distance of about 3,200 km in 51 days.

Will cover 50 tourist places

During the nearly 2-month-long journey, the cruise will pass through 27 river systems in India and Bangladesh. It will cover 50 tourist destinations including world heritage sites, national parks, river ghats and major cities like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Guwahati in Assam. In the first trip of MV Ganga Vilas, 32 tourists from Switzerland will be able to enjoy the journey from Varanasi to Dibrugarh. MV Ganga Vilas’s expected arrival date at Dibrugarh is 1 March 2023.

The ship will go to these religious places

The itinerary of MV Ganga Vilas has been designed to showcase the rich heritage of India. There will be stoppages at places of historical, cultural and religious importance. The ship will stop at Sarnath, a place of great reverence in Buddhism, after the very popular Ganga Aarti at Varanasi. It will also cover Mayong, and will pass through Majuli, the largest river island and reach Assam, the center of Vaishnava culture. Tourists will also get to see Bihar School of Yoga and Vikramshila University.

12.59 lakh rupees will have to be spent on the journey of 51 days

Regarding the ticket price of MV Ganga Vilas, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has informed that the cost of 1 day on the world’s longest river cruise will be Rs 24,692.25 or $300. There will be no difference in ticket price for Indians and foreigners. The entire 51-day trip will cost you over Rs 12.59 lakh or over $1,53,000.
