Indian MMA fighter Anshul Jubli made history by knocking out Jeka Saragih in the lightweight division of a major event on Sunday. His triumphant victory over Saragih earned him a contract with UFC, one of the premier promoters in martial arts, making him only the second MMA fighter from India to achieve this feat. The first Indian-born martial artist to secure a UFC contract was Bharat Khandare, who won a match in Vegas.
Jubli stuns the crowd with standout performance
Entering the match as the underdog, Jubli quickly took control with a barrage of punishing punches and impressive reflexes, dominating the proceedings in both rounds and establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with. Anshul Jubli went into the bout against Jeka Saragih as the underdog, but quickly asserted his dominance in both rounds. From the opening bell, Jubli unleashed a flurry of powerful punches, showcasing his lightning-fast reflexes to take control of the match.
In the second round, Jubli stuck to his strategy of keeping a safe distance and landed more punishing blows on his opponent. He eventually sealed the victory by knocking out Saragih in a swift 3 minutes and 44 seconds of the second round.

He later said, “It is very important. Our Indian MMA community has really worked hard to send a boy into this promotion (UFC) to represent India. They have done a great job and I’m gonna make them proud.”
