Hyundai Has launched Ioniq 5 with only one variant in India instead of 5 variants present in the global version, whose price starts from Rs 44.95 lakh. This price is for the first 500 customers, after which its price may increase. However, the company has not given any information about what will be the price for other customers.
The electric car is built on the dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which supports multiple body types simultaneously. This means that an electric hatchback, SUV or sedan can all be built on this platform. Ionic 5 The powertrain present in the Indian variant is capable of generating 214 hp of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 7.4 seconds. Electric car It gets a battery pack of 72.6 kWh capacity, due to which it can give a range of 631 km (ARAI certified).
On the inside, it gets two large 12.3-inch screens, making the entire dashboard look like one giant display panel. This includes multiple airbags, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with electronic stability and traction control. Charging sockets have been provided inside the car for gadgets like laptops and smartphones. Not only this, things like electric scooters and camping equipment can also be charged using sockets located outside the car. It also includes an 8-speaker premium Bose sound system, auto climate control, on-board navigation and 3-year BlueLink connected car subscription.
Apart from the Ioniq 5, Hyundai has also introduced the Ioniq 6 EV at the Auto Expo. The Ioniq 6 electric car has a drag coefficient of 0.21, which is the lowest in Hyundai’s entire line-up so far. It can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. The EV will be offered in two configurations, one with a 77.4 kW battery pack and the other with a 53 kW battery pack.
Range will be available according to the battery pack, in which the smaller battery pack will be able to give a maximum range of 429 km. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV will be made available for sale in North American and European markets in 2023.
