While users are actively discussing the high temperature of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, some kind of inexplicable pestilence of the Radeon RX 6000 line of adapters seems to have begun in the world.
The German channel Techtuber and the repair shop KrisFix-Germany said that in a fairly short time they received 61 cards of the RX 6000 line, of which 48 copies were diagnosed with a GPU failure. The authors note that for the first time they encountered such a massive breakdown of 3D maps in this form.
But the problem is even more interesting. The fact is that in all 48 cases, a short circuit of the SOC bus, memory bus and memory controller bus was diagnosed.
Users who brought their video cards to the workshop described the situation in different ways. Someone’s PC stopped working while playing, someone just watched YouTube, and someone found a non-working PC when they next tried to turn it on.
The only thing that all of these cases have in common is the latest Adrenalin 22.11.2 driver. Whether he is the culprit of the problem is not yet clear, since it is still normal to have a fresh driver in gaming systems. And we are talking about gaming PCs, since the problem has so far only affected the RX 6800 and RX 6900 series.
