After this, these unmanned minibuses of WeRide can now run legally on the public roads of Beijing. The report states that under the license obtained by the company, this autonomous shuttle can operate in a total area of 60 square kilometers.
Furthermore, the report also suggests that WeRide has also reached the mass production stage for this design of its minibus. This is the first time that a high level autonomous vehicle has been approved for road testing license in Beijing. WeRide’s shuttle bus will run entirely on electricity.
