While the market is gradually moving to DDR5, the frequencies of such memory are often far from theoretical limits. However, TeamGroup has already announced that it is working on achieving completely different frequencies.
The company developed high-performance DDR5-6400 memory by introducing for the first time new CKD (client clock driver) components developed for DDR5 by Renesas Electronics.
One of the most important functions of CKD is the amplification, buffering and stable output of high-frequency signals from the CPU to the memory, which provides high frequencies while maintaining reliable high-speed transmission. Renesas is proud to work with TeamGroup as the industry embarks on the development of the very first client DIMM driver. As a leader in memory interface products, Renesas works closely with key industry ecosystem partners and standards organization to define, develop and bring CKD to market.
Now, of course, TeamGroup cannot offer this, but the company said that it is working to use CKD to offer users high-performance T-Force and T-Create memory kits capable of overclocking to 9000 MHz and higher in the future.
