Police in Prayagraj found blood stains inside the partially demolished office of slain gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed.
Blood stains were found splattered on the stairs, and on a piece of white cloth kept on a sofa in the office located in the Chakia area of Prayagraj. It is not clear whose blood stains they were.
A knife was also found in the partially demolished office.
A police investigation is underway.
On April 15, Atiq was shot dead at point-blank range by three shooters while he was being taken for medical examination in Prayagraj by a police team. He was in police custody. The entire shooting was captured live on camera.
Atiq was accused in the Umesh Pal murder case.
