Two women were going home after visiting Alberta. She got lost near McBride, a small village in Canada. While trying to find a way out, her car met with an accident and she got stuck at a place where there was no network. She went 20 kilometers down the road. Both the women were informed. Luckily one of the women had an iPhone 14 and thought of using the new Emergency SOS via satellite feature. The woman called the Apple call center using the feature.

The Apple call center then contacted the ‘Northern911’ call center in Canada. He activated the emergency service and the rescue teams went out to save him. He pulled the car out of the snow and brought it to the highway. Dwight Yochim, a senior manager for British Columbia Search and Rescue, said the feature has been used here for the first time.
Dwight Yochim said that his team conducts more than 1800 search operations in a year. But the satellite feature will not waste time and the search operation will end quickly.
