A Pakistani drone was spotted close to the international border in Punjab, a BSF official said on Thursday. According to the details, the drone, attempting to intrude into the Indian side from the Pakistani border was spotted in the Gurdaspur sector of Punjab.
BSF troops fired at the drone, after which the drone again went towards Pakistan.
A search operation is underway by the police and BSF in the area.
This is another incident of infringement of Indian airspace by a suspected Pakistani drone that has come to light in Punjab’s border area. A few days ago, the BSF shot down a drone entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area near Shahjada village of Amritsar.
