OnePlus 11R 5G is set to launch in India on February 7. The company will launch the 11R 5G as its second premium smartphone at the event. The headliner product at the launch will be the OnePlus 11 5G, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone to take on the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. The 11R 5G will offer flagship-grade specifications at an affordable price. The device will be launched as the OnePlus Ace 2 in China.
Ahead of the official launch, the company has started teasing some key specifications of the 5G phone. The latest teaser reveals some display specifications of the phone. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus 11R 5G specifications, features and other details revealed so far.
OnePlus 11R 5G Display Specifications
The OnePlus 11R 5G will launch with many upgrades over the outgoing models. The company has now confirmed the display specs of the phone. The 11R 5G will have a 6.74-inch OLED display. The screen is curved as seen in the teaser image below. There is also a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera.
The 11R 5G, aka the Ace 2, will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. The company has already confirmed that the LTPS display will dynamically switch between 40Hz, 45Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz, depending on the usage scenario.
The OnePlus 11R will also have a higher resolution than the outgoing models. It is confirmed to come with a 1.5K display resolution with 2772 x 1240 pixels. The display will support 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and offer high-frequency PWM Dimming. In terms of brightness levels, the OnePlus 11R will have peak brightness of 1450 nits.
The teaser image also gives a closer look at the alert slider and the power button sitting on the right side of the curved frame.
OnePlus has also teased the rear panel design of the phone, which shows the new camera module. Unlike the 10R 5G, which came with a rectangular-shaped camera module, the 11R 5G will have a circular camera module. The camera module design is similar to the OnePlus 11 5G and extends towards the frame.
The phone will have a triple-camera setup but would not get the Hasselblad touch. As per rumours, there will be a Sony IMX890 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone will feature a 16MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout for selfies and video calls.
Under the hood, the 11R 5G is confirmed to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The phone will be paired with 8GB and 16GB RAM options. There will be up to 256GB of storage. The phone is also confirmed to feature RAM-Vita, which is the company’s moniker for a machine-learning AI that “accelerates the re-allocation of RAM between usage, allowing for faster system response time and stability, further aiding in operating and switching between several heavy-duty apps more smoothly.”
There will be a 5000mAh battery under the hood. The phone will support for 100W fast charging. OnePlus claims that the 11R 5G’s charging kit will refill the battery from 1 to 100 per cent in 25 minutes.
As per leaked details, the 11R 5G will have a starting price between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000 for the base 8GB RAM option. The 16GB RAM option is said to be priced under Rs 45,000.
