The specialized automotive publication “Chinese Automobiles” has compiled a table that provides data on sales of new cars from the Middle Kingdom last year.
Keeping statistics last year was not easy, because before the official car sales data from the Association of European Businesses was considered official, but last year some companies stopped reporting data, others began to publish only quarterly reports.
Therefore, “Chinese Automobiles” used data from the company “Avtostat Info”, which relies on information about the registration of new cars in the traffic police.
Last year, only Chinese brands showed sales growth. In total, 119,510 new cars were sold, which is a record for Russia.
Chery Tiggo 7 Pro at the end of the year made a breakthrough and again led the Russian market for new Chinese cars, like last year, ahead of Haval Jolion. Third place went to Geely Coolray.
