What to expect when buying a 24-core processor with a consumption of 35 W? Intel Core i9-13900T tested on Geekbench

The 35-watt Core i9-13900T processor is the flagship of the energy-efficient Raptor Lake CPU lineup. It has the same 24 cores as older models like the Core i9-13900K, and tops out at a respectable 5.3GHz. But how much does TDP limiting affect CPU performance? The first Core i9-13900T test on Geekbench answers this question.

The Core i9-13900T was tested with an Asus TUF Gaming B660M-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard in a Linux software environment. Single-threaded performance was rated at 2178 points, multi-threaded performance was 17339 points. For comparison, in a single-threaded test, the Core i9-13900K scores about 2300 points, but in a multi-threaded test it is already much higher – 26,000 points. In other words, for conditions where a large number of tasks are required to be performed in parallel, the Core i9-13900T is not the best fit, but it can be used for the same games.
