Hero MotoCorp has revealed its first flex fuel bike at the Auto Expo 2023. The company has introduced its best-selling 125 cc bike Glamor Xtec 125 in flex-fuel engine. This bike can run on petrol as well as ethanol. This bike can run on flex fuel from E20 to E80 range.
In Glamor Xtec Flex Fuel, the company is offering the features of Standard Glamor Xtec. However, the engine has been modified to run on flex fuel. It uses the same 124.7 cc air-cooled, single cylinder engine as the standard model. Apart from this, all the features of the bike like digital display, i3S technology, full LED headlight are all similar to the standard model.
According to Hero MotoCorp, the bike’s new flex engine produces 10.7 bhp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. In addition, the Hero Glamor Xtec flex fuel motorcycle uses the same 5-speed gearbox as the standard model.
In terms of dimensions, the Hero Glamor Xtec flex fuel motorcycle measures 2,051 mm long, 743 mm wide, 1,074 mm tall and sports a wheelbase of 1,273 mm. It is to be noted that the Hero Glamor Xtec flex fuel motorcycle comes with a ground clearance of 180 mm and a curb weight of 123 kg.
Overall, the recently showcased Hero Glamor Xtec flex fuel motorcycle is technically similar to the standard motorcycle. However, Hero MotoCorp is yet to reveal the mileage and performance figures of the Hero Glamor Xtec flex fuel motorcycle. The company is expected to launch the flex fuel-powered glamor bike this year.
Let us tell you that Hero Glamor Xtech is available in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 85,918 to Rs 90,518. The Glamor Xtec comes in Disc and Drum variants. This bike competes with Honda SP 125, Honda Shine 125 and TVS Raider.
