The President of Suzuki said that he can see that a time will also come when India can be in a position to become the number one country for automobiles. According to them, they would like to develop technology to provide the right mobility solutions to this market.

India is the third largest auto market

In the year 2022, India will overtake Japan to become the third largest automotive market in the world. China and America are ahead of India in this matter. India has sold an estimated 42.5 lakh units.

Let us tell you that China topped the global auto market in 2021 with the sale of 26.27 million vehicles. The US stood second with 15.4 million vehicles, followed by Japan with 4.44 million units. In 2018, around 4.4 million vehicles were sold in India, but volumes fell to less than 4 million in 2019, mainly due to the credit crunch in the non-banking sector that year.
